Quick Start

Get Your API Credentials

In ActiveCampaign, go to Settings → Developer and copy your API URL and API Key

Open Founder Command System

Log in and navigate to ClientClose → Integrations

Click "Connect with API Key" on the ActiveCampaign card and paste your credentials

Note: ActiveCampaign uses API Key authentication (not OAuth). Your API Key acts as your password - keep it secure and never share it publicly.

Detailed Setup Instructions

Step 1: Get Your ActiveCampaign API Credentials

Log into your ActiveCampaign account and navigate to get your API credentials:

  1. Click the Settings gear icon in the bottom left
  2. Select Developer from the menu
  3. Copy your API URL (e.g., https://yourcompany.api-us1.com)
  4. Copy your API Key (a long string of characters)

Step 2: Access Founder Command System

Visit suite.scalewithruth.com and log in with your account.

Step 3: Navigate to ClientClose Integrations

From your dashboard, go to ClientClose → Integrations to view all available connections.

Step 4: Connect with API Key

Find the ActiveCampaign card and click "Connect with API Key". Enter your credentials:

  • API URL - Your ActiveCampaign API endpoint
  • API Key - Your secret API key

Step 5: Verify Connection

Click "Connect" and wait for verification. If successful, you'll see a green "Connected" status.

Step 6: Test the Integration

Click "Test Connection" to verify everything is working. Create a test contact in ActiveCampaign to confirm data syncs correctly.

Troubleshooting

Connection shows "Not Connected"

Ensure you completed the OAuth flow. Try disconnecting and reconnecting from Settings → Integrations.

Contacts not syncing

Check that sync is enabled for your selected lists. New contacts should appear within 30 seconds.

Custom fields not mapping

Verify field mapping in your sync settings. Field types must be compatible (text to text, number to number).

Duplicate contacts

Contacts are matched by email address. Ensure emails are consistent across both platforms.
